If you’re a co‑op owner who’s passionate about community, good food, and the future of our co-op, this is a meaningful way to get involved. Board service is a chance to help guide the co‑op’s direction, support our mission, and strengthen the cooperative you care about.

Why join our Board of Directors?

Being on the Board is a great way to serve your community, support access to healthy food & guide our co-op into the future. You get to work with a team of co-op owners dedicated to the store’s success. Directors provide oversight via internal monitoring reports, create a vision for the future, increase owner engagement, and work with the General Manager to guide the co-op forward.

What the Board does not do?

The Board focuses on high-level concerns and does not focus on operational details.

Requirements

Be a co-op owner (Lime + members are eligible) for four months prior to running (joined before 1/4/2026).
Attend all monthly board meetings.
Join at least one committee and participate in committee activities.
Attend the Annual Owners Meeting, as well as the ½ day board training retreat held in August.
General time spent on board duties is 5-10 hours per month.

Attend a DRM board meeting before applying (Jan 26 or Feb 23 from 6-8 pm) to see what our monthly meetings are like. Attend an information session (Feb 23 from 5-6pm) to learn more about the process and being on the board. Submit your Board Candidate Questionnaire by March 13, 2026.
